Principal Investigator: Dr. Brenda Rossow-Kimball Project Description: People living with disabilities are left out of conversations about sex; they are perceived as asexual, lacking capacity, ability, and desire to engage in lived experiences of sexuality. Engagement in/expression of sexuality is a human right. This project will create space for young adults living with complex physical disabilities1 to share their thoughts on sexuality and sex positivity as lived in a complex body. Selfcare, self-pleasure, healthy relationships, gender identity, sexual identity, safe sex, and accommodating sexual experiences will be discussed. This project will identify gaps in services and information, promoting sexual health literacy and sex positivity for people with disabilities.
